Mass offerings

You can help to support priests and their parishes in poor and isolated areas of the Middle East, North Africa and the Horn of Africa by making a Mass offering. Requesting a Mass to be celebrated for a special intention is a sign of respect and love. It is also a way we can support each other in times of crisis.

Making a Mass offering is a wonderful way of praying for a loved one while also helping towards the priest’s upkeep and the expenses of the parish. In the countries which benefit from FACE’s support, particularly those in which discrimination
afflicts Eastern Christians, your Mass offering will be a source of subsistence to priests who often have no stable source of income. It will help towards supporting their basic daily needs – food, heating, clothing and transport.

We receive many requests from bishops and religious communities to support Eastern Rite priests and parishes in need and we keep in close contact with them. Your Mass offering will be passed on to one of those priests and will be said by the priest within 48 hours of our receiving your request. If you wish, you may indicate the date when you would like the Mass to be celebrated.

The suggested offering for a Mass is £10 although you may give whatever you wish. If you would like more than one Mass to be celebrated (for example, a Triduum of three Masses or a Novena of nine Masses), please complete the enquiry form and we shall get in touch with you directly.

The value of your gift can be increased under the Gift Aid scheme if you are a taxpayer in the UK.
